Donny Show 2007The Donny Shows are always amongst the best events of the year for owners of modified cars, and this year's opening show at Donington Park was no exception.
Since moving to Donington last year, the organisers have managed to improve on the show's format by steadily increasing the range of activities available for the car enthusiasts during the two day event; so as well as the opportunity to see thousands of fantastic modified cars, visitors were also treated to the opening rounds of the European Drift Championship, and also the EDC's first Time Attack Series races.
The inclusion of the Drifting and Time Attack competitive events surely made the show more interesting than ever, and was a great opening weekend for the series of events that EDC will be providing in 2007. Whereas the drifting is of course limited to the powerful front engined, rear wheel drive cars, the Time Attack Series is open to a much wider range of vehicles, and the Donington event included a number of four wheel drive vehicles such as Fensport's awesome GT4, and even an Rogue's MR2 Mk2 which can usually be seen competing in the MR2 Challenge.
Away from the motorsports action, visitors to the show could view thousands of modified cars. These included the entrants to this year's Autoglym Best in Britain competion, and cars that won last year's event.
The range of cars on display also included some very valuable supercars such as this Hamann Ferrari F430.
and this fabulous 67 Camaro
