Thousands of visitors flocked to to Wollaton Park this Sunday (05/06/2005) for the Nottingham Autokarna and AEC Rally.  Visitors had a great day out, with hundreds of fine classic cars on show.  And the weather held out to enable visitors to picnic in the grounds of the park, and to ensure that the many convertibles on show could be seen at their best.  

As well as an array of AEC Trucks and Buses, the free event featured hundreds of enthusiasts cars - most of which were in amazing condition for their age.  Owners of most of the cars were on hand near their vehicles to answer questions and provide other information about their vehicles.

Autokarna - Austins

The largest single collection was a huge range of Austin 7s covering the entire history of this important British motor car.  Row after row of Austin 7s lined the hillside in front of the hall.
