Website changes
Thanks for the kind feedback that a few members have made regarding the new look website.
For anyone who hasn’t yet commented on it, please do drop me a mail at webmaster@mansfieldadvancedmotorists.org.uk or else my personal mail address which was in the email that Frank sent out.
I’m keen to receive any feedback, whether positive or negative. I may only post the positive ones in the blog ;) but I’ll try to make improvements to the site based on any other contributions you have. Even if you just mail me to tell me that you’ve looked at, that would be great.
I’m also very keen to have more contributions from members; if you have something you want to share with the group then please write it up and send it to me - it can either be an article or just a short entry for the Blog commenting on something that has been in the news or other media including the IAM press releases. I already have a couple from the old site that aren’t yet on the new one, and I’ll address that soon, but please do send me anything that you think would enhance the site.
Photographic contributions would be most welcome; I know there are a couple of great photos from the old site that I’ve not yet included, so I’ll bring those in soon. But please can I ask for you all to try to get pictures from any events so that we can add them to the site.
In particular I’d like something more appropriate to replace the wide landscape picture on all of the web pages. A few people have commented on how restful and calming that picture is (and so in a way perhaps it is appropriate) but I have in mind that a picture of a great road with perhaps a relevant message appearing on a sign in the distance would be even better. An author of RapidWeaver software already has something of this nature on his own site and I quite like this, but obviously I can’t just rip that one off. Take a look at it here.
Thanks for reading, and please check back soon because this site is now going to be updated on a regular basis.
Cheers,
Tony Straughan, Publicity Officer
