Ford continue to face intense competition from the other major manufacturers, but thanks to a carefully devised range of models, they continue to attract lots of buyers for their new cars. |
The Ford range includes three of the best selling cars in the UK in the form of the Fiesta, the Focus and the Mondeo, plus a wealth of other vehicles which span every sector of the industry. Their smallest vehicle the Ka has recently been redesigned to improve its appeal, the Focus was completely revised within the last 12 months, and new S-Max versions have recently joined the range. |
The full range includes:- |
Ka
A compact vehicle with prices starting from about £7,000 on the road. |
Streetka
Proficient convertible taking styling cues from the Ka, and priced at just under £14,000. |
Fiesta
Bigger than it used to be, but still a great value for money compact car. |
Fusion
An even bigger Fiesta giving Ford a seat at the small MPV table. |
Focus
Currently the UK's best selling Car; The Focus is no doubt Ford's most important vehicle and the company recently took the brave, but necessary, decision to re-vamp it. It's never easy to tamper with a car that is such a popular seller, but fortunately for Ford, the public are even more pleased by the new Focus than they were with the old one. |
Focus C-Max
The MPV that's slightly bigger than a Fusion, and a bit smaller than the new S-Max. The C-Max is an incredibly popular variant of the Focus, offering much more space without too much extra cost, or any lack of practicality in town. We would speculate that the C-Max is enticing poeple out of the Mondeos, except that the Mondeo continues to achieve great sales figures. |
Mondeo
The best selling medium size car in the UK. It doesn't have the prestige of the BMWs, Mercedes and Audis, but there's no faulting it's capability or its value for money. |
S-Max
A bigger MPV. Prices from about £20,000. |
Galaxy
An even bigger MPV. Simlar prices to those for the S-Max |
Variants and other Ford Cars
Within the above range of cars, Ford offer a great range of options, including a number of performance cars. Sadly their incredible GT is no longer available as a new car as Ford have sold all the cars allocated to the UK. No doubt they could make many more of their incredible supercar and sell them without problems, but they appear to have decided that doing so would reduce the car's value. |
In addition to the cars listed, the company also offer the Ranger double cab pickup. |
